About Us

For 30 years Barrie has been an antique dealer.  Travelling to France and buying, and specialising in beautiful French beds and Armoires.

In 1999 we built and opened a care home specialising in young adults with special needs and went on to open two more.

In 2015 we decided to retire and spent two years rebuilding and renovating Quarters Cottages turning them into unique and luxurious accomodation for holiday makers.  Our aim was to make the houses comfortable and of high quality finish.

Sitting in the gardens you can look out over open fields and see deer and other wildlife including owls and woodpeckers.  The sunrise and sunsets are truly magnificent.

We live within the grounds and can help with any information regarding the local area.  We are also very proud to have been able to preseve the wonderful murals painted on the walls by the American Airforce during WWII.  All the properties have been named after events that happened here and the people that were important on this site during that time.

The image opposite pictures us, Lesley & Barrie, with a bicycle that was left here by airmen after the war.  The tyres are filled with straw as they were unable to get the rubber for the inner tubes.  This is now displayed in Lemon Drop Cottage.

We look forward to welcoming you to Quarters Cottages.
